No Rush – Plus Package

Plus Package added to your Saturday Wedding Package includes:

• Guest House lodging for up to 10 guests and the use of our Pavilion & Outdoor BBQ area Friday and Saturday night.
• Perfect for a Rehearsal Dinner, Pre-Wedding Party, On Site Wedding Preparation or Relaxing with Family and Friends.
• Check in on Friday at 10:00 a.m. –Check out on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. 
• Just add $900.00 to your package price (Maximum capacity 10 Guests).

To reserve your date

A $750 deposit plus tax is required at booking to secure your date. The remaining balance may be paid in payments agreed upon by The Old Omen House and the client. Payment must be paid in full prior to 60 days before your event.

Security Deposit

A $200 refundable security deposit will be required before your event to cover any damages.

Catering Details

You may use any desired outside caterer of your choosing even bring your own provided by yourself or family.


You may choose ANY TABC certified bartender.

Alcohol policy – Alcohol is permitted

For Beer and Wine only: No bartender or Sheriff’s representative is required.

Hard liquor alcohol is permitted, however, you must hire security (one officer per 100 people) during the hours you will serve alcohol. The cost is approx $30 an hour through Smith County Sheriff’s Department (903-590-2669 Lt. Robert Strickland) or DPS. You will also need to hire a TABC certified bartender to serve it.

Our Location

The Old Omen House is located in the beautiful East Texas countryside on Old Omen Road also known as CR 285 just outside of Tyler, TX.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do we include tables and chairs in our packages? Yes

  • Do we include tablecloths in our packages? Yes

  • We do not handle any food or catering, DJs, bartenders or sheriff hiring. This is all up to the bride to find and handle.

  • If you are only serving beer and wine you do not need a bartender or a sheriff.

  • For hard liquor for every 100 people you are required by law in our location to have two sheriffs and two TABC certified bartenders serving the hard liquor.

  • We handle the setup of table, chairs and tablecloths and the take down and clean up.

  • We do not help decorate for the weddings or carry any cakes or food.

  • You may not drive any stakes in the ground without permission from staff.

  • We do not allow big nails, only staples or tacks to hang decor.

  • Whatever you hang you must take down.

  • We take care of trash for the wedding and reception.

  • We do have wheelchair access throughout the facility.

  • There is outside bathroom with three stall capacity in each bathroom with heat and air.

  • We have 10 60 in round tables and 10 8ft rectangle tables. Each table can hold 10 people.

  • Our venue can only hold 150 people max. We only have 150 chairs.
